This is an online demo of Animated Introduction to Adobe Photoshop Elements (downloadable version here) - an animated help-book for users of this "light" version of Photoshop. To make your learning easier and faster, it tells you only the things you have to know at the moment, skipping the details, as you have lots of time to learn those when (and if) you need them. The book is illustrated with animated screenshots, that show you around Photoshop Elements.

The first chapter of the book - Skills - explains the program interface and essential techniques. It's intended to be read from beginning to the end. By the time you complete this part, you will have a working knowledge of the tools and functions, that are pertinent to digital photography. The full version of this book comes to you with a patch file uncovering the undocumented features of Elements (more about... ).

The 2nd chapter - Recipes - is a collection of practical solutions, covering everyday tasks of amateur and professional photographers. Perhaps, you can't edit your own images, by literally following ready-made instructions; unlike cooking instructions, these recipes require a creative approach. Anyway, you may consider Recipes as advanced tutorials, showing efficient combinations of the techniques described in the first part.

NB Not all topics are available in the demo version. Click here to order the full version of the video-book.

Important!
*To play the embedded movies you need Macromedia Flash Player 8 or later. If you can't see a red stripe after this word     click here to get the player from the maker's web server. Normally, the installation takes about 2 minutes with a 56 K modem.
Also in Internet Explorer you have to allow ActiveX. With some not IE browsers, to see and navigate Flash movies you may want to enable JavaScript. (For example in Opera 7.5, pull down Tools > Quick preferences > Enable JavaScript)
