As Simple As Photoshop > Concepts
TOC

This is online version of As Simple AS Photoshop - animated* help-book for Photoshop users (downloadable version here). This book takes you for a tour of Photoshop's powerful tool set.  It will not bother you with details you don't need to know, as you have lots of time to learn those as you advance.  By the time you complete this book, you will have a working knowledge of the tools and functions that Photoshop provides, which are pertinent to digital photography.

This course assumes that you have a working knowledge of your operating system.  Although the PC version of Photoshop is used in all the examples, the Mac version  is almost identical, with the exception of a few platform-specific keyboard shortcuts.

The first chapter - Concepts - explains Photoshop interface and the basic work principles. Although it's supposed to be read in order, you can get a quick context help by clicking on on a mentioned tool's icon, text link or question mark pictogram. To resume reading, use your browser's "back" button. Note also that some animations may be pretty "heavy"; so please be patient if your Internet connection is not fast.
