The Vertical Type Tool creates
and edits vector-based text in a separate layer:
In the Toolbox, select the Vertical Type
Tool.
Set on the Options bar font options:
family (style), size, color
and anti-aliasing method*.
Click on the image and type.
While you are typing, the cursor looks like this ,
so you can adjust typed text position without changing the tool.
To edit previously typed text, select in the
Layers palette corresponding type layer**
and work like with conventional text editors.
