Look at the Tools bar. As you can see it's full of some (supposedly useful) instruments.  And there are tools that we can't even see yet!   Some of these buttons contain hidden tools.  Press any button  that has a small arrow in the corner, to display them. Let's get started with testing two tools intended for removing image flaws and making some simple manipulations.

1. Open an image to your choice. If you have not a damaged picture, open the focusing.jpg.

2. On the Tools bar, select the Clone Brush Tool.

3. On the Tool Options bar, define brush tip size and edge hardness.

4. Place your cursor over source area of the image and right-click. You have set a sample point.

5. Paint with the sampled pixels over the damaged area.

6. Activate the Scratch Remover Tool.

7. On the Tool Options bar, increase Width (the tool's range).

8. Drag over a twig to remove it.

NB On the Tool Options bar (palette) you can adjust any tool as your choices update based on the tool you have selected.
