1. Open focusing.jpg image and edit. Now we will see how to save your work.
2. There are several saving commands in Paint Shop Pro. If you apply Save command [Ctrl+S], the original file will be overwritten, while we may need it for further tutorials.
So, pull down File > Save As...
3. In the Save As dialog box, select the PspImage
format to save the image as a different - focusing.pspimage - file. The PspImage is native Paint Shop Pro format, allowing to store within image files various non-image data - layers, masks, etc.
4.
BTW, have you noticed Favorites button in the program's file boxes? Add the PSP Book folder to your favorites. Chances that you will use it often.
5. Why not save the picture for the Web too? From the pull-down menu, select File > Export > JPEG Optimizer...
dialog box comes up.
6. First, estimate the image quality (After preview) and the target file size (Compressed value).
7. To see what the best setting for this image is, try several settings - increase / decrease compression value until you achieve the smallest possible file size, without sacrificing too
much of the image quality. This operation is invoked to minimize download times of the web page the picture will appear on.
8. When ready, click OK, browse to PSP Book folder, and save the optimized copy under a different name to avoid overwriting the original file.
