1. Open an image to your choice.
2. In the Tools bar, activate the Paint Brush Tool.
3. On the Tool Options bar, set brush size and hardness. Alternatively, you can adjust brush size by [Alt]-dragging on the image, as it is shown in the movie.
4.
In the Materials palette, click on a color within the color field to define foreground color (that is, color you wish to paint with).
5. Paint on the image.
6. In Paint Shop Pro, there are various ways to choose a color. If you can see a suitable color on your image, place your pointer over the proper area, hold down keyboard [Ctrl] key and mouse-click.
7. In the Materials palette, display the Frame tab. This tool allows us to choose and/or fine-tune the color. To change the color's hue click on the proper point of the outer frame. Then, use the sliders to adjust its saturation and lightness.
8. There are many other options on the Tool Options bar. For example, decrease Opacity value to paint with transparent strokes only partially covering the image.
9. Open Blend mode menu and
select Color mode.
Now our brush changes only the color of objects without entirely
painting over them.
10.
When finished, set the brush mode to Normal and Opacity to 100%. The thing is, most settings are saved even after you quit Paint Shop Pro,
so when you restart the program, your choices will
be as they were when you quit the program.
